Hi, my name is Bruce, founder of Pocket Protection, LLC.

I was born and raised on the coast of Connecticut, where the beach was my playground growing up. When my cousins got a boat, I learned to water ski. Not long after that, my dad bought a sailboat, and I discovered sailing. Eventually, a neighbor introduced me to surfing, which quickly became my true love and lifelong connection to the water.

After a couple of years of college, at the age of 20, I decided to move to California to surf. Shortly after arriving, I met my wife, and we were married a year later. I’ve always loved being outdoors and close to nature, which led me into a career in construction as a laborer. I eventually retired as a union laborer, and while life was good, I felt there was still something more ahead.

Not long after my retirement, my wife began working as a secretary for the pastor at our church. One of her responsibilities was taking the church’s offerings to the bank. Around the same time, we were seeing more and more reports of shootings happening in churches. That combination led us to a difficult but important realization that we needed to be prepared to protect ourselves. We took firearm safety classes and obtained permits for concealed carry.

As time went on, I felt a growing desire to give my wife the forever home she had always dreamed of and to give more to our church so it could continue serving the community and helping people come to know God. These desires became a constant prayer in my life. Not long afterward, God gave me the idea for a pocket holster designed to discreetly conceal pocket pistols.

Many people choose to carry a concealed firearm, but the hardest part is actually concealing it. That’s where Pocket Protection comes in. The concept is simple: make your firearm look like a cell phone in your pocket. When I looked at what was already on the market, I was surprised to find that nothing like this existed. I couldn’t believe such a simple solution hadn’t been created before and that’s when I knew this was an idea God had saved for me.
